Choosing the site

DCU Drumcondra was chosen as the campus for the set up of the mesocosm as it had a number of outdoor spaces; and specifically our site was semi-enclosed, and had easy access to tapped water and electricity.

Even though the pandemic has meant lockdown and going in to work not possible, work to bring forward the DCU Mesocosm continued unabated.
